This Privacy Policy explains how Bao Chau Do ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our mobile applications (each, an "App"). It applies to all of our Apps. Some sections apply only where a given feature is offered in a particular App. Information we collect:
- Photos and content you provide. Some Apps let you select photos or other content to edit or process. We only access the specific items you choose; we do not scan your photo library.
- Contact details. Where an App asks for an email address, we collect it to provide the requested service.
- Usage and diagnostic data. We collect anonymous, aggregated usage and performance data to improve our Apps. This does not identify you personally.
How we use information:
We use the information solely to operate and improve the Apps, process your requested actions, manage subscriptions, and provide support.
AI processing and third-party providers
Certain features in some of our Apps use artificial intelligence. When you use such a feature, the photo or content you select is uploaded to a third-party AI processing provider — currently fal.ai (https://fal.ai/privacy) — which generates your result and returns it. Only the item you select is sent. Your content is not used to train AI models and is not sold. It is processed to produce your result
and is not retained by us for other purposes. The provider processes it under its own privacy terms, which provide equivalent protection.
We also use the following service providers where applicable:
- Apple — in-app purchases and subscriptions (App Store).
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Amplitude — anonymous, aggregate analytics.
Our apps differ in how they handle data, and the relevant sections of this policy apply only to the app you are using:
- Local-first apps (for example, our subscription tracker). The information you enter — such as the items you track, amounts, dates, categories, and notes — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us. We have no server and you do not create an account; deleting the app removes this data. If such an app offers sync, it uses your own private iCloud account, not our servers, and its notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
- Content-processing apps (for example, our photo apps). The sections describing photo/content selection and processing by third-party AI providers such as fal.ai apply only to these apps.
Across all apps we use Apple for purchases, RevenueCat to manage subscription status, and Amplitude for anonymous usage analytics. Analytics never include the contents you enter (such as the subscriptions you track).
Face Data:
Some features in our Apps — such as photo restoration, enhancement, and age transformation — work on photographs that may contain a person's face. We handle this as follows:
- What we collect: We do not create, store, or use facial-recognition templates, "faceprints," or any biometric identifier, and we do not use face data to identify or recognize any individual. The only face data involved is the face that may appear within the photograph you choose to process.
- How it is used: The photo you select is used solely to generate the edited result you requested (for example, restoring, enhancing, or age-transforming the image). Some Apps also perform a brief, on-device age estimation to prevent processing photos of minors; this runs entirely on your device, produces no stored data, and is never uploaded.
- Disclosure and sharing: When you use an AI feature, the photo is sent to our third-party AI processing provider, fal.ai (https://fal.ai/privacy), which generates the result and returns it. Face data is not shared with any other third party, is not used to train AI models, and is not sold.
- Retention: Face data is processed transiently to produce your result and is not retained by us after the result is returned. Your results are stored only on your device, and saved to your photo library only if you choose.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
Data retention. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Children. Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights. You may request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold by contacting us at the email below.
Changes. We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page.
